Places to see in your One week in Morocco 7 Days Tour Itinerary

Marrakech

Marrakech which is a French spelling is one of the most important cities in the kingdom of Morocco. It is the fourth largest city in the country just after Casablanca. The city is located to the north of the foothills of the snowcapped Atlas Mountains. Marrakech is one of the most important imperial cities of Morocco and has been inhabited by the Berber families since olden times. The original city was founded in 1062 by Abu Bakr ibn Umar.

Like all other cities in Morocco, Marrakech comprises an old city that is packed with many vendors and their stalls. This is one of the busiest cities in Africa and serves as an economic center as well as a famous destination for tourists. The real estate and hotel industry is thriving over the years. Marrakech is very popular among the French as they own properties in this city. Prepare for a great time of your life in the lively city of Marrakech where you can indulge yourself in the cultural heritage of Morocco. The best time to visit this place is around March to May in springtime as the temperature is comparatively low along with affordable prices.

Ouarzazate:

With its distinctive cinematic appearance, this world-famous city offers many architectural treasures that you can explore and you can enjoy a variety of authentic dishes that you can enjoy while visiting this region. Ouarzazate is a city located between the Sahara desert and the green valleys and between past and present, the starting point for a trip to the great south of Morocco to explore a series of castles and luxury palaces, and dunes, as well as the authentic and conservative model that characterizes the life of the inhabitants and villages of the region.

Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah:

Located at the foot of the Atlas Mountains, the natural gateway to the Sahara, it is located 30 km northwest of the Moroccan city of Warzazat. Rompiendo (collection of palaces) is a term used for a fortified tribal village, and Aite Ben Haddow is an excellent example of one of these villages, dating from the 17th century and built entirely of local biological materials, with rich red clay. Located on a small hill on the left bank of the Onella River, overlooking the valley that was once the main commercial road through the Atlas Mountains to Marrakech and beyond.

Boumalne Dades:

For many reasons, Boumalne Dades is one of the famous attractions you can visit on an 8-day tour of Morocco from Marrakech.
It is believed that the name Boumalne Dades comes from Bou l’Male, which means a job and trade, especially cattle. The word Dades comes from the story of a Bedouin who arrived in Pomalan. The story goes that he was hungry, but could only eat if he paid a fine, although the area was known for its wealth of vegetables and fruits. However, after a while someone came to him and told him “technology”, which means “here you can eat.” Later, the expression became Dades.

Todra Gorges:

In the heart of the Atlas Mountains, on a street from Marrakech to the Sahara desert, the spectacular scenery of the Todra Gorge (locally called the Tudga Strait) is a natural oasis created by the Todra River while making its way through limestone for centuries. The prehistoric accelerator is almost reminiscent of the valley walls at 400 meters (higher than the Empire State Building in New York).

One of Morocco’s best attractions for visitors is a paradise for photography enthusiasts, mountaineers, cyclists, and hikers. The chokehold was also featured on the US television show Impossible Journey and in the 2012 CTS Cadillac ad.

It is an ideal place to break the journey between Marrakech and Sahara during the night or 8 days in Morocco’s itinerary, but it gives way to a longer exploration.

Merzouga Desert:

Merzouga’s greatest attraction is the unparalleled desert experience she offers. Located on the edge of the desert, Marzouka is the perfect village to stay in while enjoying the beauty and nature of the desert. On this 8-day trip to Morocco from Marrakech, you will discover the dunes in Marzouka.

Zagora

Zagora is located at the foot of the Atlas, in the valley of the river Draa, a huge palm grove of 200 km long surrounded by fruit trees lost in the sands of the Sahara.

Old fortress Almoravid to control the Saharan trade was founded in the Middle Ages by the Saadians as a gate for the conquest of Morocco and the Sahara and as a starting point for caravans. It is in fact the cradle of this dynasty. The city was founded alongside the kasbah by the French in the protectorate for the control of the region.
