The Ksar of Ait Benhaddou is located at the foot of the Atlas Mountains, a natural gateway to the desert, 30 km northwest of the Moroccan city of Ouarzazate. Ksar (plural Ksour) is the term used for a fortified tribal village, and Ait-Ben-Haddou is an excellent example of one of these villages, dating from the 17th century and built entirely of local biological materials, with rich red clay. It is located on a small hill on the left bank of the Ounila River, overlooking the valley that once served as the main trade route through the Atlas Mountains to Marrakech and beyond.

The City of Boumalne Dades

For many reasons, Boumalne Dades is one of the famous attractions to visit during your 8 Days Tour in Morocco Itinerary from Marrakech.
It is believed that the name Boumalne Dades comes from Bou l’Male, which means a place of business and commerce, especially cattle. The word Dades comes from the story of a nomad who arrived in Boumalne. The story tells that he was hungry, but could not eat unless he paid a fine, although the region was known for its wealth of vegetables and fruits. However, after a while, a person came to him and told him “From Tech,” which means “here you can eat.” Later, the expression became Dades.

Todra gorge

Deep in the rocky atlas mountains on one of the roads leading to the Sahara desert from Marrakech, lies the spectacular scene of the Todra gorge (locally called the Toudgha gorge)a natural oasis created by the river Todra as it makes its way through the limestone for centuries. The prehistoric accelerator resembles almost valley walls up to 400 meters (taller than the Empire State Building in New York).

One of the best attractions in Morocco for visitors, it is a paradise for photography enthusiasts, mountaineers, cyclists, and hikers. The strangulation was also shown on the American television program Impossible Journey and on the 2012 CTS Cadillac announcement.
